Home Visiting Resource Center

Extensive research has shown the effectiveness of evidence-based home visiting (EBHV) in improving outcomes for maternal/child health, home and child safety, school readiness, family safety, family economic self-sufficiency and referrals and linkages to community resources.

A major service strategy within Great Start Georgia is EBHV with the Maternal, Infant and Early Childhood Home Visiting Grant Program (MIECHV) initiative.

The EBHV programs available in Georgia are as follows: Early Head Start - Home Based Option (EHS-HBO), Healthy Families Georgia (HFG), Nurse-Family Partnership (NFP) and Parents as Teachers (PAT).
