Home Visiting Resource Center

Extensive research has shown the effectiveness of evidence-based home visiting (EBHV) in improving outcomes for maternal/child health, home and child safety, school readiness, family safety, family economic self-sufficiency and referrals and linkages to community resources.

A major service strategy within the Georgia Home Visiting Program is EBHV with the Maternal, Infant and Early Childhood Home Visiting Grant Program (MIECHV) initiative.

The EBHV programs available in Georgia are as follows: Early Head Start - Home Visiting (EHS-HV), Healthy Families Georgia (HFG), Nurse-Family Partnership (NFP) and Parents as Teachers (PAT).
